It seems
that even celebrities aren’t immune to stalkers. You would think that if anyone has enough
money to hire security to avoid dealing with the public, it would be an actor
like Jeff Goldblum. But Goldblum has
apparently suffered a great deal of mental anguish from the attentions of one
unfortunately named Linda Ransom.
Ransom,
49, has been following Goldblum since 2001 when he first alerted police to the
fact that she had attended one of his acting classes and then started hanging around
outside his home. Ransom has been
ordered to stay away from him several times over the past decade, and since her
recent stay-away order from 2007 has expired she has been up to her old tricks.
Even
scarier? Police report that she told
them that she would not stop trying to meet the actor unless there was a
restraining order actually in place.
A judge
is currently considering Goldblum’s request.
