Finally, after a long, hard, bittersweet court
battle, Cyrus owners Douglas Keen
and Nick Peyton have decided it would be best if they sell the space where they
have operated their four-star restaurant known as Cyrus to the new owners of
the hotel Les Mars. However, it should not come
as any surprise that they have decided to retain the rights to the name of the
restaurant or that they are still keeping their options open as to where and if
they will restart the Cyrus restaurant in the near future.
Basically, what this means is that the restaurant Cyrus will close its doors at its current location sometime in October of 2012 after seven years of successful business as a four-star restaurant. However, this essentially leaves the door open for the new owners David Fink and Bill Foley to start up their own type of restaurant in which they can then showcase their own wine collection. Which is why they are already in the planning stages to reopen the restaurant under new management with a new name after it has finished undergoing a transformation when the Cyrus restaurant finally closes in the fall.
